Cathedrals, Crests, Jail, and Riverdance

Short post today:
Christ Church Cathedral:

Gothic architecture draws your eyes to God, but it makes my neck hurt. I wonder what that says about God?
St. Patrick's Cathedral:
We are going to the Eucharist tomorrow morning! There was a big gift shop in the middle of the cathedral, with shot glasses at the very front. Most of our baptist group was a bit miffed, but I thought it was hilarious. Exactly what the churches would have been like, a center of trade. If only I could have seen a Jesus type figure go crazy with a whip and turn over all the tables of lambs pretending to be drunk on magnets...
Jonathan Swift and his lover apparently never were in the same room together alone. Whenever the last person left, Johnny or his girl would leave as well. People would play pranks on them trying to sneak out and get them alone.

We stopped by a crest place thingy. Apparently, we should ask and see if Eden hall owes us any money, but I think Mom already told me that.

Kilmainiham Gaol (sp?)

Crazy awesome. We walked about 20 blocks to get there through sketch parts of town (don't worry, middle of day and 3 guys with us), but it was worth it. A horse and buggy dude offered to give us a ride for 30 euros, but it sounded like 20 because their thirty is tirty.
I'll tell you a really cool story, but I don't want to ruin a postcard I sent Daniel. It's a super sweet and sad story.

Riverdance
whoa! Dancing Irish! My favorite part was when a black guy did even cooler tap dancing and had a dance off with the lead Riverdancing guy. I personally liked the black dude more. He had style.
On the way back from Riverdance to the hotel, I was skipping a bit. Dr. Hanks comes up to me, offers his arm, and we do a little hop skip thing down the streets with Dublin as our whole group starts clapping along. We slipped a bit on the wet pavement. I thought I almost killed Dr. Hanks when we almost fell!
